Capacity & Layout Information

The capacity of Whiston Village Hall varies depending on the type of event and the layout of the space. Different seating arrangements, such as theatre-style seating or table layouts, will impact how many people can be comfortably and safely accommodated. Capacity may also change if the stage or stage extension units are in use. The information on this page is intended to help you choose the most suitable setup for your event.

Main hall

The main hall is 11 meters wide by 18.3 meters long. It is suitable for a wide variety of uses, including private functions, weddings, corporate training events, clubs, fitness groups, social gatherings and fundraising events. The large main hall provides a spacious venue for most occasions with room for up to 300 people.

Furniture in main hall

190 standard armless chairs + 10 identical chairs with arms
25 round tables. Each is 4 ft (122cm) in diameter and will seat 6-8 guests.
3 rectangular tables 6ft x 3 ft (183 cm x 91.5 cm) which can be used for a top table to seat 11 people.
6 rectangular tables 5ft 5inch x 2ft 4inch (154cm x 76cm)

Meeting room

The meeting room is 7.5 meters wide by 7.5 meters long and is suitable for corporate meetings, small gatherings and events that have an attendance of no more than 40 people. The room is fully equipped with chairs and tables. There is also a small kitchenette which contains a sink and tap available to make hot drinks.
